As a partner of the Indonesian government in realizing the sustainable management of fisheries and marine resources, Rekam Nusantara Foundation unit Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia (FRCI) set up a booth at the Technical Work Meeting side event exhibition of the Directorate General of Marine Space Management (DJPKRL) of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF). The event themed "Marine and Marine Space Management based on Blue Economy Towards Healthy Seas and Prosperous Communities" was held from Wednesday to Thursday, 24-25 April 2024 at the Padma Hotel, Semarang. Through this exhibition, FRCI introduced its 4 programs in supporting the progress of Indonesian fisheries, namely 1) fisheries management and conservation, 2) Ocean Accounts, 3) shark and ray conservation, 4) IKAN applications.

On this occasion, the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, together with the Director General of Marine Space Management (PKRL) Victor Gustaaf Manoppo and staff visited the Rekam Nusantara - FRCI booth. During the visit, Minister Trenggono gave directions on further forms of support that FRCI could provide for sustainable fisheries management in Indonesia, such as supporting the government in conducting public outreach to the wider community to reduce market demand from the upstream level for critically endangered sharks and rays. Apart from that, the booth was also visited by DKP, BPSPL, BKKPN, and NGOs from across Indonesia.
