Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia is strongly committed to the sustainable management of marine resources. The programs we develop fully support the goals of the sustainable development program agreed upon by the United Nations. On November 17-30, 2024 FRCI was a finalist in the SDGs 14 (Sustainable Development Goals) category: Live Below Water organized by EUTECH (European Sustainable Development and Smart Cities).

The EUTECH SDGs Award is an award given to an organization, institution, company, and individual who has contributed more to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program aims to give appreciation to the parties involved. The event attracted more than 1000 applicants from various countries.

The selection process involves evaluation by a esteemed panel of judges from the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Finalists were judged on the applicants' local and global impact, scalability, and maturity level, combined with public voting results. The team's hard work paid off, FRCI was named the winner of the EUTECH SDGs Award for SDG 14: Live Below Water. Our Director, Heidi Retnoningtyas accepted the award with great joy, honor, and gratitude on December 20, 2024 through an online meeting with the many finalists involved. Through this award, FRCI is motivated to continue contributing to the world's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
