After one month of collecting crab fishery data in Tambak Polo Village, data enumerators from Poklahsar, traders, and crab collectors presented the data collection results in a crab fishery meeting stakeholders in Demak Regency, Central Java Province. The enumerators conveyed the obstacles experienced during the data collection period, including the lack of crab catches during November-December due to bad weather conditions and technical problems in paper-based data collection leading to the extended time needed to enter data into the database servers. A meeting between crab fishery stakeholders in Demak Regency was held on December 23, 2021, at Horison Hotel Kota Lama, Semarang. Besides the enumerators, there were also representatives from the Directorate of Fish Resource Management of KKP, Central Java Provincial DKP, Demak Regency DKP, Jepara BBPBAP, Demak District Fisheries Extension Service, Jaya Bahari Fishermen KUB, Unggul Jaya Fishermen KUB, Poklahsar Sido, Indonesian Crab Entrepreneurs Association (APRI), and the Rekam Nusantara Foundation. Data collection activities are expected to continue and become part of the routines of small crab fishery merchants in the Demak Regency. Data stored digitally and sustainably will be crucial in analyzing stock estimates and determining strategies for sustainable fishing of crab resources in WPPNRI 712.
