Ocean Accounts (OA) is a data management program that describes marine resource assets, interactions and changes over time in a region. NSDL includes 7 data components including ecosystem assets, flows to the economy, flows to the environment, marine economy, governance, combination presentation and marine wealth. Over the past 2 years, the Indonesian OA team has produced the Ocean Accounting Dashboard, System Dynamics Analysis, Ocean Accounts Pilot, 2 National Standard Methods, and made ocean capital visible.

At the Global Dialogue on Sustainable Ocean Development held in Bali, Indonesia launched Ocean Accounts which was inaugurated by Sakti Wahyu Trenggono (Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries - Republic of Indonesia) and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan (Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment). The event, which took place on July 1-5, 2024, was also attended by Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Central Bureau of Statistics, Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia/Bappenas RI, Rekam Nusantara Foundation - Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia (FRCI), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), and Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP). The five-day event is expected to pave the way towards global OA implementation for sustainable ocean development and the blue economy.
