Rekam Nusantara Foundation and the Department of Fisheries Resources Utilization (PSP) IPB initiated a collaboration in the study of capture fisheries in Indonesia. This collaboration is carried out to encourage fisheries and marine research activities, especially capture fisheries management by prioritizing the sustainability of resources and community welfare through protection, preservation, and utilization of fishery resources in the Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia. The signing was carried out at the Dramaga Campus of IPB on January 4, 2020.

"This collaboration is expected to provide opportunities for young people to create, research and participate directly in fisheries in Indonesia, especially capture fisheries," said Een Irawan Putra as Executive Director of Rekam Nusantara Foundation.

The scope of this collaboration includes the study of capture fisheries management in Indonesia through student research activities for the final project; sharing data and information regarding capture fisheries; publication of research results; fishery data analysis training; and the preparation of fisheries management recommendations.

"This collaboration is expected to add new research for students about capture fisheries in Indonesia," said Dr. Ir. Budy Wiryawan, M.Sc.

The presence of this joint activity is expected to create a synergy to support the government and other parties related to the management and utilization of fishery resources in Indonesia.
