Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia collaborated with Islands of the World Conference XIX “Islands and Resilience: Global Opportunities”. The conference was attended by 120 presenters from 25 countries. This activity was held at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mataram University, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara on June 27, 2024. In this conference, FRCI presented findings related to Ocean Accounts. At the conference, FRCI presented 7 themes including:
1. Ocean accounting: A knowledge foundation to inform the integrated management of small islands
2. Tracking global progress in Ocean Accounting within Small Island States
3. Natural capital accounting to inform ocean management in the Maldives: A Case Study of Laamu Atoll
4. Ocean accounting piloting in Indonesia’s small islands: Its potential and challenges for policy application
5. MPA and small islands: united or separately managed? empirical evidence from ocean accounting study in Indonesia
6. Valuing small islands ecosystems through ocean accounting – towards a conceptual framework for ecosystem service valuation from SEEA perspective
7. Small islands contribution to regional maritime GDP framework: initial assessment and future trajectories from Raja Ampat Islands and West Waigeo Islands MPA
