In order to encourage the implementation of sustainable fisheries management, the "Meeting for the Initiation for Rebuilding Stock Strategies and Snapper and Grouper Capture Fisheries Regulations in Saleh Bay Waters, West Nusa Tenggara Province" was held in the Mataram City on August 23, 2022.

Based on the discussions, suggestions, inputs, and brainstorming, in general the participants have agreed: (1) to maintain the condition of snapper and grouper stocks in the Saleh Bay waters to remain sustainable, and (2) if the condition of snapper and grouper fishery stocks, especially for red snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) and leopard coral grouper (Plectropomus leopardus), are at the limit reference point (SPR <0.2), then several scenarios are applied which become the Harvest Control Rules.
