As a follow-up to the 19th Meeting of the Convention of the Parties (CoP 19) Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in Panama, 14-25 November 2022, the Directorate of Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (DMBC) of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, with the support from Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia (FRCI), held a CITES CoP 19 Results Socialization. This occasion was held on 15 February 2023 at the Swiss-Belinn Hotel, Bogor and hybrid via Zoom Meeting.

This event was attended by approximately 110 participants from the government, NGOs (non-governmental organizations), and companies. Socialization of CITES CoP 19 Results and Management Follow-up was delivered by Sarmintohadi, S.Pi, M.Sc, PELP Associate Expert, DMBC, followed by the presentation of Scientific Authority Support for the Follow-Up of CITES CoP 19 Results for the Management of Appendix Fish Species by Dr. Amir Hamidy, M.Sc, Director of SKIKH BRIN.

With this activity, it is hoped that all related parties can coordinate so that the trade of wild plants and animals does not threaten the species by the applying the legality, sustainability, and traceability principles.
