FRCI Attends the Fifth Asia-Pacific Day for the Ocean Dialogue

Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia (FRCI) attended the Fifth Asia-Pacific Day for the Ocean which was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) at the Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, on November 29-30 2022. This Ocean Accounting Collaborator’s Workshop was held as a panel discussion which raised the theme of Ocean Data and Statistics, with the topic of Data for a Healthy and Wealthy Ocean.

On this occasion, the Indonesian representatives, Muh. Firdaus Agung Kunto Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Director of Marine Conservation and Biodiversity in the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and Dr. Irfan Yulianto from FRCI delivered a presentation regarding the priorities, challenges, and collaboration in preparing the Ocean Accounts of Indonesia. Through this event, it is hoped that a cross-sectoral stakeholder cooperation can be implemented to promote the conservation and sustainable use of marine resources in the Asia-Pacific.
